Chapter 3
The red-hot sun beat upon Justin's head as he woke from his deep sleep. He found himself on a white, sandy beach with JC and Joey beside him. Lance and Chris were nowhere to be found. Tasting the bitterness of the sand in his mouth, he quickly spit it out. The waves crashed at his feet while he washed them in the warm water. The storm was over, and it was time to explore the island. It was his worst nightmare coming true.
"Hey, buddy, wake up," Justin said as he nudged JC's shoulder with his toes.
"What? Huh? Where am I?" JC asked as he sat up. Sand covered most of his body, but he quickly shook it off.
"We're somewhere in the middle of nowhere," Justin responded. He went over to Joey and also woke him up. After that, it was time to search for their other two band mates.

On the other side of the island, Vicky was beginning to wake up. She stretched out, only to feel a stabbing pain in her right arm. Looking over at it, she discovered it was pinned under the boat. She tired to get herself unstuck by wiggling it out, but it only got worse.
"Damn!" she screamed. Soon, she saw someone walking towards her.
"Hey, you need some help?" a high male voice asked from across the beach.
"Yeah."
"Okay, I'm coming right now."
The guy walked towards Vicky. He appeared to be in his 20's with long, black hair and tanned skin. For some reason, he looked really familiar.
"Vicky? Is that you?" he questioned.
"Who are you? How do you know my name?" Vicky interrogated. She squinted to get a better look at him.
"It's me, Chris, from next door. Remember?" he answered.
"Chris? Oh, my God! I can't believe it!" she exclaimed. Vicky tugged on her arm, but a shooting pain ran through her. "Ouch!"
"Okay, I'm gonna get you out of there. Just hold on for a sec." Chris began to dig away the sand and dirt when he realized that he couldn't get Vicky out. "Lance! Where are you?" he yelled across the beach.
"What?" another deeper male voice yelled afterwards. A younger, cuter guy walked down the beach towards them. He had highlighted blond hair, and the sweetest pair of green eyes Vicky had ever seen.
"Give me a hand. I can't seem to get Vicky out from under this boat. It's way too heavy."
"You know her?"
"Yeah, she was that girl I was talking about yesterday."
"Oh, her. Now I know, I think."
They began to dig the dirt and sand away from Vicky's arm. Lance held the boat up as Chris pulled her out from underneath. It took them a little while, but they got her out. Vicky looked at her arm to see what damage had been done to it. There was a deep cut running along her wrist, and a few bruises everywhere else.
"Damn," she said, ripping a piece of her shirt and wrapping it around he cut.
"That looks awful. Are you going to be okay?" Chris asked. He took Vicky's hand and pulled her off the sand.
"Yeah. I think I'm going to be just fine," Vicky answered. She, Lance and Chris all walked down the beach to find Sam, Justin, JC, and Joey.

"Justin, where the hell have you been all morning?" Joey asked as he saw him emerge from the lush forest.
"Looking for any other signs of life along with Chris and Lance. They're nowhere to be found," Justin explained as he came closer. "The bad news is that we are alone on this island. There are no natives, and there are no other people either."
"So you're saying there is nobody here that can help us? Ah, shit! This really sucks! What the hell are we supposed to do now, wait to get rescued?" JC entered into the conversation.
"Well, I guess so," Justin replied. "To think, I actually thought this might happen. It's all I could dream about for the past few days."
"That's really weird. I had this strange feeling right before we got on the boat. I guess I knew this was going to happen too," JC added.
Joey looked at the two as if they were crazy. For some reason, he thought they were crazy. He ignored their weirdness and just walked off. From the distance, he could see someone walking the beach towards them.
"Hey, guys, there's someone coming," Joey said.
"Hi, everyone!" Lance's voice screamed out.
"Where have you been all day?" Justin asked, running towards him. He then saw Chris and the girl walking with him. "Who is she?"
The girl appeared to be around 18 with a thin build, long legs, and the most beautiful hazel eyes he had ever seen. The smile on her face made it look like the sun wasn't the brightest star in the sky. She had that thing Justin had been looking for.
"She's a friend of mine. You know, Vicky," Chris answered.
"Hi, I'm Justin," he introduced himself while holding out his right hand.
"I'm Vicky. Sorry, but I can't shake your hand."
"Why?" Justin asked, a little bit of attitude added to make himself sound a little more in control.
"Because I have a bad arm," she retorted, her own attitude spiking.
"Oh, little Miss Thang has an attitude problem," he shot back.
"Well, what about you? You've got an attitude problem too. Don't start talking to me about attitude problems," Vicky yelled, walking away towards Chris. She looked back at Justin and gave him the cold shoulder. He was not the kind of guy she was expecting.
"Nice one, stupid. You can't treat a girl like that," Lance scolded. "Especially one with a bad cut across her arm. What's gotten into you?"
Justin waited a moment to think. He also didn't know why he had been so rude. "To tell you the truth, I have no idea," he confessed.
"Well, you'd better think about it before you do that again. Vicky 's a really nice person, and I hope you never treat her like that, ever."
"I'm sorry. I didn't know that would happen."
Lance left as Justin pondered the fact that he made a total ass out of himself. He hadn't been thinking about anything but his own feelings. Besides the fact, that was the way his personality reacted.
