Gray

A purple haze settles over the emerald water
This new world is not like any other
The sky is as red as blood
And the land is as gray as soot
It almost seems as if a volcano had recently exploded
And everything was covered in ash
But walking over the ground
I find that gray is its true color
Like my mood
Gray
I don’t know where I am
I stumble over unknown blue shrubs
And other sorts of vegetation that is alien to me
How did I end up here anyway?
Was is some freak accident?
Am I dreaming?
I don’t know
I just want out of this gray and purple place
A transparent figure appears before me
His arms outstretched as if he wanted to catch me
But his gently green eyes match the color of the emerald waters
As harmless as he looks, I don’t trust him
And all to suddenly, I shoot out of this strange world
Only to return to the reality I call home
No matter where I am
A dream, another planet, Earth
I’m still in my gray mood
Unhappy and never contempt with my surroundings
