Chapter 14
The guys came back and time
just seemed to fly by. It was the middle of December, and I was recovering to
the fullest. As the holiday season came closer, we all got excited. Daniel's mom
was going to fly up to us and stay for Christmas up till Daniel's 25th birthday.
Daniel was so excited to see his mom, he was counting down the days. Our holiday
was going to consist of me, Darren, my dad, Daniel and his mom.
It was a Friday afternoon and
Darren and I were putting up Christmas decorations in their apartment.
"I can't believe
Christmas is here already," he said.
"I know," I
agreed.
"I hope our
address doesn't get out this year," Darren said.
"Why's that?"
I asked.
"Cause last year,
we all got about a million Christmas presents from our fans," Darren said
as I started to laugh.
"I wouldn't mind
it!" I said.
"Yeah, but some of
the presents were....um...interesting," Darren said. I smiled and started
to hang up Christmas lights around their window. I grabbed the latter and
started to hang them. I looked behind me to see if they were plugged in and I
saw that Darren was watching me.
"What?" I
asked. He smiled.
"Nothing." I
turned around and worked. I stepped up another step and lost my balance. I
slipped and fell off the ladder. Darren quickly caught me before I hit the
ground.
"Whoa, that was
close," I said.
"I know. Are you
ok?" he asked.
"I'm fine," I
said, smiling. He kept me in his arms and kissed me.
"Ya know
what?" he whispered.
"What?" I
said, looking into his eyes.
"This is gonna be
the best Christmas, cause I'm with the one I love," he whispered. He placed
me down gently and held me tight. I placed my arms around his neck and kissed
him. He kissed back and we just stood there kissing when Daniel came in.
"EWWWWWW!!" he screamed, like a 3 year old. We separated and started to laugh. He smiled and helped us decorate.
